1. Enable dark mode or theme in Microsoft Outlook
The dark gray theme is perfect for those who prefer a softer take on high-contrast visuals.
In Outlook for Microsoft 365, the black color theme includes dark mode, which provides a black background (instead of white) for the message window. You can switch to a white background for the message window if you prefer.
How can you enable dark mode or theme in Microsoft Outlook?
To change it:
- Go to toolbar
- Select File
- In the lower left select Office Account.
- Under Office Theme, select Black
2. Scheduling Delayed Delivery of Emails in Outlook
Imagine you’re sending someone an email message late at night and they are in a time zone that’s 3 hours ahead of you, You don’t want to wake them up in the middle of the night with an email notification on their phone. Instead, scheduling the email to be sent the next day at a time when you know they will be ready to receive the email would be ideal!
How to schedule Delayed Delivery of Emails in Outlook?
- Select New Email. Or an existing email.
- Select Reply, Reply All.
- Go to the Options tab
- Select Delay Delivery.
- Select the Do not deliver before check box to confirm the same.
3. Set the date and time you want the email to be sent
During the day, sometimes it can seem quite overwhelming when you might receive hundreds of emails about meetings and appointments. To help with this here’s a look at saving time by sending email messages about appointments to the calendar in your desktop email client.

- Simply drag that email to the calendar section and it will show you a new window for creating the appointment,
- Chose the time and date.
- Save & close.
4. Forward an email as an attachment in Outlook
There may be times when you want to forward an incoming email to someone as an attachment or you may want to attach an email to the message to send them a record of a conversation, these steps would help:

- Open the email you want to forward.
- In the Respond group, Select More Respond Actions.
Select Forward as Attachment. - Send the message.
- Open the email you want to forward.
- Select who you want to send it to.
- Select Send.
